The computer studies course is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science, information technology, and practical skills required in today's digital world. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice to prepare students for professional, academic, and entrepreneurial careers in computing and related fields.
Throughout the programme, students are introduced to the fundamentals of computer systems, including the history and generations of computers, types of computers, and the components of a computer system. Emphasis is placed on understanding computer hardware and software, operating systems, file management, and basic system maintenance.

Objectives: This course will provide students with an introduction to the use of statistics in educational research. Emphasis will be placed on students achieving an understanding of the statistical procedures considered so that they can think critically about suitable procedures for the collection and analysis of data, and the educational usefulness of calculated statistics. Students will gain experience with using the SPSS package on computers.
